This is Seattle's historic Arctic Club, built in 1917 as an exclusive gathering place for wealthy Klondike Gold Rush miners, Alaskan explorers, and businessmen returning from the North. Inside, deals were made, fortunes were celebrated, and Seattle's future was shaped. Today it's a luxury hotel, but some guests report cold spots, phantom footsteps, and even the ghost of Congressman Marion Zioncheck, who died after jumping from a fifth-floor office in 1936. Whether you believe the stories or not, those walruses have been watching over downtown Seattle for more than a century.
