This is a great place to see and experience bioluminescence in the summer. It is also a rare and ecologically valuable and the last pocket estuary in Bellingham bay. It has also experienced extreme habit loss due to development, and will likely see more, as a large development has just been passed for the area. The developer studies state otherwise.
