This is the most artistic libraries I have ever walked through. From the Red Pantone Hallway to the "Only Up" Escalators. Seattle Central Library feels more like a piece of experimental art than a public building. Its narrow fluorescent-green escalators carry visitors up through the library—but there’s no matching ride back down. Add in the entirely red Level 4 hallway, the Books Spiral and nearly 10,000 windows, and it’s worth exploring even if you don’t need a book.
