Worth the visit! The Childhood Express – Giant Radio Flyer This enormous red wagon in Spokane’s Riverfront Park is more than a sculpture—you can climb inside and slide down its handle. Created by local artist Ken Spiering for Washington’s centennial celebration, The Childhood Express stands 12 feet tall, stretches 27 feet long and weighs approximately 26 tons. The interactive sculpture was dedicated to Spokane’s children in 1990 and remains free to visit and play on.
