A fun piece of Seattle history that's easy to miss. Even though the Bubbleator is gone, it's worth stopping to imagine one of the World's Fair's quirkiest attractions. Bubbleator Site – Seattle "Please move to the Rear of the Sphere." Built for the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, the Bubbleator was a transparent, bubble-shaped elevator that carried visitors into the futuristic "World of Tomorrow" exhibit. Although the Bubbleator no longer exists, the site remains a nostalgic stop for fans of Seattle history and World's Fair oddities.
