You can't miss this from the road. There are oversized stone snails, a triceratops, and a Stonehenge on this corner lot. The sign reads Sticks and Stones Farm. A historic Bainbridge Island farm and working studio filled with enormous stone snails, dinosaurs, puzzles and other wonderfully unexpected creatures created by self-taught sculptor Ethan Currier. Ethan shapes locally gathered stone by hand, joining pieces with concealed steel to create sculptures meant to be touched, climbed on, wondered about and lived with. His recognizable stone snails can be spotted in yards and public spaces around Bainbridge Island. Sticks and Stones Farm participates in the free, self-guided Bainbridge Island Studio Tour, held twice each year. The 2026 Winter Studio Tour is scheduled for December 4–6, from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. each day. Important: This is a private residence and working farm, not an everyday drop-in attraction. Visit only during an advertised public studio tour or through an appointment arranged directly with the artist. Confirm tour dates and access before traveling.
