Built in 1922, this whimsical teapot-shaped gas station wasn't built to sell tea—it was built as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the Teapot Dome Scandal, a major political corruption scandal involving federal oil reserves during the Harding administration. The station operated as a real gas station for decades before being relocated to save it from freeway construction. Today it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places and includes vintage gas pumps, historic outbuildings, and a small visitor center/gift shop when open.
