I drove past this house countless times before finally stopping to see it up close. It’s one of those wonderfully weird Seattle landmarks hiding in plain sight. Visible from I-5, this wonderfully unexpected Seattle landmark features larger-than-life murals of Bettie Page and Divine by local artist Matthew Brennan IV (Two Thangs). Bettie came first; after the mural was vandalized in 2016, Brennan restored her and added Divine alongside her. The pairing has an extra pop-culture connection: Divine helped inspire the visual design of Ursula in Disney’s The Little Mermaid.
