This place is incredible. There is so much to look at that I kept finding something new every few feet—aliens, spaceships, dinosaurs, giant animals and sculptures of every imaginable kind. And the best part? Most of what you're looking at is actually for sale. Way Out West is a sprawling statuary and garden-art business just outside Spokane, run by brothers Mike and Mark Ferguson. Mike has been buying and selling unusual objects for decades, beginning with an antique business in Spokane in the early 1990s before Way Out West eventually made its home on this property. Over the years, pieces have been sourced or commissioned from around the world and brought to Spokane by the shipping container. The result feels less like a conventional garden store and more like wandering through an enormous outdoor collection of roadside oddities. There is even an Airbnb on the property, so you can actually spend the night surrounded by the collection. Hours and access can vary, so confirm before making a special trip.
