Imagine finding a giant boulder sitting in the middle of your neighborhood! It's an unexpected reminder of the powerful forces that shaped Washington thousands of years ago. Quick stop to take a picture and marvel. Tucked into a residential neighborhood in northeast Seattle is an enormous glacial erratic known as Wedgwood Rock. Standing roughly 19 feet tall, this massive boulder was carried here by glaciers during the last Ice Age and left behind as the ice retreated.
